I think he means he wmed the monsters right before the second part of thunder hit and it cancelled.

WM doesn't do that tho, only knocks them away. Smash would tho.
WM would just cancel the stun effect allowing the mobs to hit the caster, and making it harder to hit them all before they get too close. So in its own way, WM is a pain to thunder mages :D
