I have no memory of the plot at all besides for the following facts:

1. Yaiba is a terrible shonen hero.
2. The antagonist is a kendo delinquent who grew horns. AKA terrible shonen antagonist.
3. The two of them use swords with a materia slot in it and they use elemental materia.
4. The Korean localized version was probably the first time I felt contempt for my own nationality.

[SPOILER="Spoiler"]I remeber Yaiba later also obtained a new sword that can use every single power without need for materia, the sword was used by hero to defeat the moon invasion long time ago. Moon princess is a being that drain the youth of young women to keep herself youthful albeit only for a short time. Then it turns out the girl who's Yaiba's friend is special in which by draining her the moon princess will actually become youthful forever and grow back the bunny ears that were cut off by the hero in legend and she succeed at draining that girl, then invade earth in the form of a giant black squid thing. Yaiba fought her at end of the anime series and sealed her beneath earth (I think, it's been a while), but the girl who was drained of her youth was never turned back in anime, which bugged the hell out of me.[/SPOILER]

Yep Trigun is getting kinda old now xD have a hard time believe it myself, and your ending does sound interesting and fits well considering what they was, however [SPOILER="Spoiler"]I'm not sure if the guns knives made could ever cause that, he was on a anti kill all human phase total destruction, then again he wanted to create the world into a paradise himself just without humans so maybe.[/SPOILER]

@Osayidan It does seem a lot like bebops, but both are nice.

Of course, there's the obligatory Pokemon and Digimon - but you can still see remnants of that in today's time.

I dono who here watched digimon tamer, but by the end, you know the protagonist with goggle's bio-digivolution (The one they merge), and then he got a fly machine where he stood on it and fly? Watch the tekkaman blade's OP (number 2 on the list), digimon tamer totally ripped that one off the tekkaman blade.
