So I Re-formatted my hardrive. Everything is GONE. So what I do is get the latest Mabinogi installer.
The site gives me the file MabinogiSetup112R Application file. I double click it.
The Client Launcher (Not the installer, and the game is NOT installed so I don't even have a Nexon folder to begin with.) And tells me "The path of Mabinogi installation is invalid."
I do not have antivirus ANYTHING
Firewall is Off
Help me out please.
been at this for 8 hours now.... downloaded 10 2.3GB of the same file to see if I just had a corrupted one.
I just want to play again

Wait so, you click on the MabinogiSetup file, which leads you to the CLIENT LAUNCHER? That's not suppose to happen...

EXACTLY!
So you understand my frustration then. I get the CLIENT LAUNCHER.
And it tells me I have path error..... I think Nexon's Setup file is broken.
Though I have yet to test this on another computer. But my C: Drive has been completely reformatted. Everything deleted.
and then I installed Windows 7. Then I Download Mabinogi (priorities first)
I have no idea why this is happening.

Same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago try the option to download the game w/o npc music files. That's what worked for me, don't know why though.

Okay, doing it now. I'll tell you if it works in about 2-4 hours.

Nothing.
It does the SAME exact thing. No difference.

I had the same issue as well when I was installing it on my Father's computer.
Try right clicking the installer and hitting run as administrator. For some reason that worked for me. (even though I was on the administrator account)

Already tried. On all the files.
Should have stated that. Also disabled the UAC.
I don't know why this is happening. I Tried to get an older version and I installed it and tried to patch it. It told me to get the newest version from the site.
Then I uninstalled it. Removed all the files and registries to make sure they don't affect anything.

I'm not sure if this still applies to new clients but when I completely uninstalled my closed beta client it still left this one file behind which caused my newer install to completely screw up until I made a folder named "Mabinogi2" and set the path of installation to that.
But if that doesn't work I did some quick googling and the only answer I could get was "restart your computer and try again".
Sorry I can't be of much help.

You misunderstand...... I can't SET my path.
I double click my Setup file. The CLIENT launcher pops up with a message saying "The path of Mabinogi installation is invalid."
And I hit okay. and it closes it all. That is all that happens. I get no other option to do anything else.

Okay, I figured it out. For some reason the new MabinogiSetup112R is acting as a patcher instead of an installer.
So what I did was get an older version (101R) And installed it. Then let it update itself.

That's really weird. Glad you got it resolved, though. A newer client would have been
105R, for anyone in a similar situation.
I got
112R a couple days ago and it worked fine, so I don't know why it went bad for you. Do you still have the 112R installer? Try checking its
MD5 hash and see if it matches f998fe96a3805aa86f908ff2991b7e80. If it doesn't, then that means your 112R installer is different from my (working) 112R installer, which would mean Nexon screwed up with the files they uploaded.
PS. The first thing you must do after reinstalling an OS is not downloading Mabinogi. You need to get all the security and reliability patches for the OS. They just may fix this kind of weird thing, if it isn't really (or only) Nexon's fault.
