I get random disconnections frequently when I'm on this laptop.
How do I know it's my laptop? It only occurs when I use this one.
The laptop is about, if not already 10 years old. I knew it wasn't going to be great, but damn this is annoying.
It started about last month and I thought it would go away.
It first started when I created a DSL connection for a modem. I created a DSL connection because the modem would refuse to automatically connect to the internet.
Later I used another modem (one that connected automatically). I switched between the two a lot and that's when the random disconnections first happened.
At first I thought the disconnections were common even though I used the same Username and password, and it only happened about once every five hours so I didn't think much of it. But last week was when it started to get severe. Ever since then I get disconnected about 5 times every 2-3 minutes whenever the computer feels like it.
I deleted the DSL connection, but that didn't do anything.
I think it's a driver issue so I updated it, but that didn't work.
So then I uninstalled it then re-installed it and that didn't work either.
I really do not want to reformat this computer since I only have a 2GB flash and about 4GB worth of stuff I want to save.
I'm on Windows XP and use a Fujitsu N5010.
Help please.
