STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- He wanted to impress his date, but he didn’t have any money, so police say Anthony Etienne resorted to stealing a teenage girl’s Nintendo DS as she walked through New Dorp.
Etienne, 17, of the 800 block of Henderson Avenue in West Brighton, now faces felony charges in connection with the incident yesterday afternoon.
He grabbed the girl’s hand and snatched the video game system at about 5:37 p.m., as she was walking on New Dorp Plaza by Rose Avenue, police allege.
Etienne described the theft, and his rationale behind it, in a written statement he made to police, according to a law enforcement source:
"I did not have no money to impress her, so if I thought that if I take this lil girl’s DS, I can make some money. I tapped her shoulder. I said, ‘Give it.’ She said, ‘No.’ I said, ‘It mine,’ (sic) and forst (sic) it from her. I felt bad as she chased me but it was done. I said to myself, ‘Never agen (sic).’ "
Etienne admitted to dropping the DS when he saw police approach, the source said. Officers did not find the game system.
Etienne faces charges of third-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny and petit larceny, said William J. Smith, a spokesman for District Attorney Daniel Donovan.
He’s expected to be arraigned at Stapleton Criminal Court this afternoon.

If you want to impress a girl with theft its probably not the best idea to steal from little girls.

That's why you get a job before you get a girlfriend.

Who wants me to use it again? I'll just resize it and put it next to my Pika Kazma.
Edit : I just decided to stop caring that people misspell my name as Pikablue.

.-. Even if he'd made away with it, it wouldn't have traded for much.
Went to my recent gamestop, the trade in value for the Wii is now ~$45 cash, ~$60 in-game value.

It's understandable I guess because he definitely would not have been able to impress the girl with his usage of the English language.
