HIS Online is a WWII flight sim MMO and the only one of its kind. It revolves around re-creating missions done during WWII. This game also heavily revolves around PvP which is known as dog fighting in game. The graphics aren't anything like Heroes or C9 but they have a shine to em.

Heroes in the Sky has two factions; Allies and Axis. If you know anything about World War II then you already know what I'm talking about. If not then those are the sides countries took during the war, with the Allies being USA, Russia, UK; and Axis being Germany, Italy, Japan. The side you choose determines which planes you can use. The planes are restricted to their respective countries but are not locked. If you are on the Allies side you can choose any plane (given you meet the requirements) from any country on your side. Same for Axis.

There are many options to customizing your plane. You can choose the different cannons, rockets, aerial mines (given the right craft), bombs, armor, engines, and propeller. You can earn these parts through missions, quests, or bought in shops. You can also buy skins for your plane in the cash shop. They are like Maplestory clothes, the effects/upgrades are there but look different. You can also buy gacha to try your luck at CS only planes. These planes have a level limit on em and are more powerful then regular ones. Giving them a slight curve above other planes. Other then that the cash shop is not that game-breaking.

Gameplay is fun, I've been known to waste a night or two while playing this game. :T_T: The community is very friendly, I have yet to meet any jerks (which could just be me). Missions are uniquely designed to relate directly to mission of WWII. There are about 50-ish missions at the moment. You can unlock more missions as you level up. A unique feature in completing missions: When done enough you can unlock a harder difficulty. Higher difficulty missions have planes/tanks with better AI's, better weapons, more HP, and will actually dodge your attacks. Some special missions require rooms of 8 or more to finish because they are RIDICULOUSLY hard. But fun as hell!!
Technically there are no classes to HIS since you can use almost every weapon (depending on planes) but there are Gunners, Bombers, and Fighters.

Some problems with HIS are.....
-Some missions can be laggy due to massive amount of buildings (cities)
-Germans have a server but hackers reign there, so they moved here to NA.
-PvP (Dogfighting) gives more EXP then missions but you need to be good at it. I recommend starting to PvP around level 15 (with an upgraded plane).
-Laggers are annoying in PvP
- Occupational Wars (territory wars basically) are fun but can be extremely stacked when nobody comes to the battle. You can start a war and everyone on the other side will join but it will only be you and maybe 2-4 other people. That's not fun....
-Loops and evasive maneuvers take up a skill slot and you only have 2 unless you buy the CS upgrade.

The music is generally ignored by me since I'm too busy concentration the game itself or I just have my iPod or such on. Although its the typical epic for a bit, but then annoying after a while.
One of my top 5 mmo's since it is hella fun! If you like shooters, WWII, or aerial sims then you should definitely give this game a try. I even had my dad stopping to watch me play occasionally because he was interested in the game XD. I'd ask em if he wanted to play but he'd decline and just walk away. His loss :D
