It has an IPS screen? Hooray for quality displays!
I'm not sure I'm sold on the ultrabook thing myself, yet. But I'm in no rush to buy a laptop, so I've got time to think. Pretty happy with my netbook for web browsing things, just wish its battery lasted for more than an hour. Poor old thing. :(

I hadn't got a laptop in 5 years so I was really due for one. I wanted to get an ultrabook last year when they first started releasing them but decided to wait for ivybridge. Glad I did that, they improved this laptop quite a bit. It's perfect for my work and very useful for all my daily stuff as well.

Is there a reason why you went with this instead of a Macbook Air? When I think ultraportable, that one usually comes to mind first. Still, that looks like one nice, thin piece of machinery. Love the display.

Because I don't want any apple products for personal use.

Nice job with the Ultrabook Osay. Though, I have to wonder about their future, as the sales for Ultrabooks seems to be lower than expected.
[S]Great, now Osay has a portable way to store his pr0nz, I mean what. . .[/S]

The future of ultrabooks is to be replaced by standard laptops that will have the exact same standards as ultrabooks.
Ultrabooks are just using the latest technology as opposed to cheap parts, and more emphasis placed on design and form factor. In a few years there won't be such a thing as "ultrabook" because every laptop will be one.

Can you say the same for affordable gaming notebooks ($2000 or less)? That future seems far off unless the capacity of SSD drives and the cost per GB increases and drops proportionately within the next five years, which it very well could be. I just find it hard to imagine cheap 750GB SSDs going on the market as a standard, and real gaming machines usually come with two drives.
Also, I guess your qualm with Apple is personal?
