Which of These Laptops Should I Get?

  I've forgotten to mention that my sister has had an Acer notebook for over five years. Granted, she doesn't game and only uses it for her school needs, but I'm still surprised she can use it. I think my parents are gonna make her use it throughout her college years, too, but I called bullshit on that. I'll break the damn thing if I have to; I am not letting my sister go through school with a five year-old Celeron-run Acer.

  Found these outstanding guys on Newegg after Yoorah showed me the awesome-value AMD-run ASUS that I am now seriously considering. Want opinions on these.
  
  ASUS Sandy i7 (the most expensive machine in my consideration)
  Acer Timeline U Ivy i5 (had to put up another Acer =/)
  Lenovo Thinkpad Sandy i5 (only thing this is missing is dedicated graphics)
  Toshiba Satellite Sandy i5 (good value)
  Lenovo Ideapad Sandy i5 (also a good value)
  Toshiba Satellite AMD A8 (questioning)
  
  I have to say, I'm impressed with what I saw in the AMD-run notebooks. I learned that although they lack in CPU processing, they excel greatly in graphics. They have "dual graphics" that utilizes both the Radeon APU and the discrete GPU for tasks like heavy multi-media and gaming. This knowledge is making me seriously consider getting the one either I or Yoorah listed in his previous post. Now I want to know you guys' thoughts again.
  
  EDIT: Also did some looking around on tech forums and found out that hyperthreading may not be all that it's made out to be. Hyperthreading Analysis. A 6.2% overall increase in performance isn't very appealing, and lots of those applications ran slightly slower with the virtual cores.

  Hyperthreading apparently creates performance issues in a lot of games. I was having a few issues with BF3, found out hyperthreading was a highly possible cause. So I disabled it, and my random "lag" issues were solved :P
