If you're going pillar, throwing your pillar is useless. You lose out on a lot of DPS for that, and should only be used for some weird situations (I don't even know what)
I never really saw the usefulness of doing that, but I've never played Karok.
Maybe it's just for teh lolz.

A general rule for most bosses attacks is to not dodge away from it (due to the fact that many attacks are long, but not wide),
but instead to dodge "through" it, so that you'll be behind the enemy. ScyEvies can do this very well because of Blink. (During the "absense" part of blink, your character's hitbox is not present.)
**
That being said, be very careful on bosses which can turn 180 degrees mid-way through a combo that has multiple attacks as such. You might get your partners hit, and people who notice these things tend to get annoyed by it occuring multiple times.

ScyEvies - Soul Skewer (LLLR) works wonders on the Knights and Hounds in Ortel Castle (because of their annoying knockback, and Soul Skewer can hook enemies, interrupting their attack combo). Link a Mark of Death after that if you can to help take care of them.
*
StEvies - When the [FINISH] icon appears right above a dead monster, you can stand next to it and quickly click and release your right mouse button (or whichever you have Focus charging set to)
to count as a "smash" and quickly get the evil core to appear. This is because charging focus does a slight bit of damage and has a slight knockback. The knockback of it can only really be noticed on evil cores and normal mobs (not bosses).
**
StEvies also have a heavy stander while using focus. The effect becomes stronger with the more focus charges you have. The effect of 3 or 4 charges can be useful on non-raid bosses.
4 charges might be able to block knockback from some raid bosses' attacks, but I haven't tried.

Sit-stand-sit... spamming can be useful to drag Lionotus to the drop-off edge! Use it! And stop draging Lionokitty over to the ziggurat in the background (by running over to it to drink potions, unless you're trying to do him without dropoffs! It's annoying! If you need to use potions, be cautious about dodging and wait until he's dropped. You have a wonderful opportunity then!
**And while we're on the topic of
Lionokitty, when you're trying to get him back on 3F after he's recovered from being dropped, stay at the drop-off point! If everybody's there, it's very easy to drop him again within 5-10 seconds of him recovering, instead of having an extra 2-4 minutes because somebody aggro'ed him and dragged him too far back.

Dragons:
+ Breaking off the wings does not 100% ground them, but it does seem to reduce their time spent airborne.
+ Breaking off the tail will reduce the range of tailswipe by about 1/2 or so. Maybe a bit more.
+ Breaking off the horn/ spine doesn't seem to affect their attacks.

People: RANK ffs:
+
Standing Endurance
+
Life Flare
+
Willpower Mastery (increases the chances of those two working)
+
Defense Mastery
+
Health Mastery
I have had my life saved many times by life flare proc'ing 3 times in a row after the boss successfully managed to crit me 4 times in a row. I've found too many people who don't rank these and then complain that they can't survive a few hits!
Fact of gameplay: You WILL get hit. Invest in your defense!
