Well, not really shopping, because I don't want to spend any money.
But anyways, my ESET Smart Security trial (like the 15th one) expired 3 days ago and I finally got another trial. Unfortunately, after re-installing it seems that it completely blocks all Internet access and for the life of me I can't figure out how to fix it. I have no patience for it so i'm looking for a really awesome free anti-virus. I haven't used anything besides NOD32/Smart Security (except the shitty Norton my brother's computer came with), sooo yeah. I don't know what's good.

Ooh, i'll try MSE first then go from there. I feel like i've heard bad things about avast or AVG but can't remember where.

I use the AVG Free Edition one as well. I do have that No-Script Add-on on Firefox though. I don't download anything suspicious looking, and noone else uses my computer.

I use free Avast! and that seems to work quite fine aside from the terrifying voice that tells you when it updates.

Avast and avg have been the freeware kings for a long time
before Microsoft own software came along avg and avast always ruled top tier and their test results prove it
Malaware bytes also does the job, they may not detect the best but their the best at getting rid of anything

My dad bought Norton, we can have it installed on 3 computers. Works very well (my dad's, my sister's and mine).
