  [SPOILER="Spoiler"]Toph's daughter is head of police in Republic City. Metal Bending is pro. Katara and Aang gave birth to three children, one of whom I recall being named Bumi, another of whom is Tenzen, Korra's Air Bending master, and I can't remember what they named the third. Tenzen is one of the people who runs Republic City. Korra has vastly more natural talent with elements than Aang did, but lacks the spiritual focus that comes with Air Bending, making it the only element she will likely struggle with; she literally had all three of the other elements under her control by the time she was 5. She is also as brash and confrontational as Aang was playful and passive, but damn is she creative! There's all kinds of crime and poverty in Republic City and a growing divide between Benders and non-Benders. There is a mysterious masked man who considers Korra's arrival in Republic City to be a problem. Also, the writers are still trolling us with whatever became of Zuko's mother.[/SPOILER]

  Actually, the leader of the metalbenders is Toph's daughter, not Toph herself (though they do have a statue of her). No word on exactly who is alive since the only clear deaths are Aang and Sokka.
  
  Aang and Katara's kids are Kaya, Bumi, and Tenzin. Tenzin, in turn, has 3 kids, with a fourth one on the way.
  
  I'm still waiting for when Korra can see Aang just as Aang could see Roku.
  
  Running away seems to be a theme with both Aang and Korra, though for completely opposite reasons, and in opposite directions (as in, Aang ran away from the air temple, while Korra's trying to get to one).
  
  Loving the mix of music. Some songs have a more modern feel and others have that feel from the last series. End song hits and I'm hit with Nostalgia. I'm already loving this show. Seems like there are improvements in the animation, too.
  
  Korra's great. A powerful female character with a great appearance. Love her design.
  
  Oh, and that part where Lin and Korra make the "got my eyes on you" signs at each other. Fantastic. xD

  I agree with Elena. I'm only going by the first episode, but if the other 25 eps match or surpass the quality of the first ep, I think I'm going to enjoy A:TLoK more than I enjoyed A:TLA, and that's a high bar to begin with.

  I notice a lot of rage about the leak on tumblr and I have one thing to say to that: A product should only worry about leaks if the product is bad. Watching this episode makes me want the box set right freaking now, especially if it continues to be this good. Can't wait to see Mako and Bolin.

  I honestly think the leak was intentional. It's only about 3 weeks or so before the actual episode would have aired. That's not a disaster. That's publicity. Maybe if it had been about half a year before the official start, which would have slowly decayed interest as people forget to check back in (like what happened with Young Justice and is still happening even after the official start), but not even a month before the episode would have aired? Someone in the marketing division just got a raise.

  As for Zuko's mom, I'm really interested to know what happened because..
  [spoiler]It is definitely implied that she had a hand in the death of firelord Azulon, because Zuko would have had to die as punishment to Ozai for speaking ill of Iroh and trying to take the throne from him. If Azulon dies, Zuko lives and Ozai becomes firelord. There would be no reason for her to disappear if she hadn't done something drastic like that. I also wonder if she tampered with Azulon's final wishes, because he didn't seem all too keen on letting Ozai become the Firelord. [/spoiler]

  Yeah, noticed that too, but in a way they can both make sense. It could be that sometimes it's one, sometimes it's the other, and sometimes it's both. In Aang's case, it was both. For Roku, it was the element, since he seems to have had a relatively calm personality (though he did have his more fiery moments). Korra definitely looks like she built herself up for the physical elements of bending. Air, being about patience and spirituality is the one that comes most difficult for her.
