I just spent the past 30 minutes of my life looking at mars.

Duplicate thread. D:<
Pretty awesome, though. I guess they finally released more high res images. :P
It also reminds me of planetary exploration in Mass Effect.

It's SO crazy that we went there. And took pictures. Like, that's Mars. That's another planet. And we put something there. And it's sending pictures back. And now Mars is on my computer. Like, what?
I just can't get over what technology has done.

The whole time I was looking at that my brain was just going, "Mars! Mars! It's Mars! HEY IT'S MARS!"

Well we've been there before and also took pictures but I'm not sure they were as high quality as this new rover is equipped to do.

Which i find weird since mars is further from the sun than us. But it's prbably biger here we just cant stare at it or we'll be blinded
I also find this fascinating just brings out curiosity. Years from now maybe we can do this on gas giants. You never know :)
Sorry for typos, im on my iPad. :(

This is cool. I'm amazed at how complete (and seamless) a 360 degree view it is.
Thanks for sharing this.

Yeah, but it's still a massive achievement and these pictures are incredible.

I really want them to get a picture of some constellations from mars.
Ugh, it's just so cool to think about; seeing the same constellations on an entirely different planet.
