So earliest you might expect to play Guild Wars 2 on release is at 9 PM Pacific time.

Awesome, some friends were telling me I had to buy it between July 20th and 30th or something like that.

I am not so obsessed and didicated that I'm willing to stay up till midnight EST to start playing. 11pm is usually my threshold before I need rest.
However, it being the weekend might change my mind in the matter. Still don't know what I'm going to name my Female Elementalist Asura that I'm dead set on getting.

Get out. Staff too? That's what I'm making.

I don't think I'm going to dedicate to one particular style of elementalist. I'm probably going to continue doing Staff, Dagger/Focus/Wand Combo with toying around with different elements.
All depending on the situation of course. I LOVE flexibility in play style. Restricting myself to just staves would just be silly.

You can't switch weapons with a staff... And obviously I'll play around with other weapons, but I'm going to focus more on Staves, can't be spending money/time on getting weapons that I don't use.

I know you can't switch weapons with a staff but, I can choose to not use a staff and manually switch to a different weapon in a safe area and go ahead with another weapon. Even in beta, I wasn't sticking to one particular weapon.

Like I said, I'll be doing that as well, but it would be very inefficient to try and spread all your effort and money on trying to get the best of all weapons when you could be focusing on 1 weapon. Get me?

I probably won't spend a lot of money and effort on weapons. Every weapon I used in the Beta Weekends I found as a drop. I don't play games to have the best gear and don't forsee myself investing too much in gw2

I understand what you mean, I was asking if you get what I was saying...
