My tentative answer is "No", because I've learned to wield lies like weapons.
It's true when they say that you need to lie more to cover up your first lie,
but that's not a problem for a good liar. :thumb:
So what does Nation think? As a general paradigm, should one be honest as much as possible?:what:
And I'm not talking about "Does this make my X look big?" moments.

You have to eventually tell the truth somehow.
Unless what you are using is a white lie and if you really know that the person is unlikely to check on you for trivial stuff.

Lies are lies.
Meh.
It depends on the situation.
Some of my friends are screwed over with guilt whenever they lie. I don't particularly care.

No, yes. I'm the kind of person that usually only tell lies that can quickly become truth. It's also why I only do death threats that I know I can do.

It depends with me.
When I lie to my mom, I end up covering it up over and over and eventually she gets the truth. Because of that, I've learned not to lie to her.
With other people, especially people I don't know, lying is easy. I've learned to do it with a straight face.
It can get you in some deep ****, though, especially if you learn to lie all the time, or you start believing your lies.

lying is like gambling. so when you have decent chance of deceiving the person and the outcome of it benefits you, then you should lie.
however, if it is easy to lie, but the outcome rly doesn't help you, then all you are doing is fooling yourself.
a situation you should lie in is when a creepy person asks you a question you lie so that the person can't stalk you.

Well if no one lied this wouldnt be a topic now would it? So you shold always tell the truth but ya know there are people who will lie than others will lie, in the end its a big vicious cycle.

If you can control when you lie and when you dont I dont see anything wrong with it, I mean, I have a friend who lies ALL THE TIME about EVERYTHING and when confronted denies it, he just does it for no reason, but if you just tell an occasional little lie, like the ones that prevent you from hurting someones feelings, I dont see anything wrong with it...

I usually lie a lot, but it's only white lies.
Sort of sadly, I'm actually really good at lying and can do it with a straight face.
But then again, I've never lied about something really serious so I don't know how I'd feel about that.

To lie it is going to be bad in general. I only lie when it's something related to my sister. She turns any little thing into a big disaster almost getting kicked out of my house. I used to lie alot when I was around 13-14. It got me into a big mess. It's why I only lie around my sister, I know she is the favorite of the family... I could go on, but would derail the topic

When I lie I smile, when I tell the truth I smile. No one can tell the difference.

A lie will build upon another lie, so it's usually hard to keep it secret for a long time, but the world would not be what it is without lies.
