Event Notices

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. I've noticed how the amusement park section is mainly dead.
Unless your thread is on the main page, not a whole lot of people go looking through the section.
I was thinking of having news notice yellow things (like you guys put up when the rules changed or when you first join) that you can just X off of if you don't want to see it anymore.

So on going events could appear to everyone.
There typically isn't a whole lot of events going on at one time, so I don't think it'd clutter the page.
It might be a hassle for the staff to put it up there[S], but maybe you could bring back the event helpers and maybe they could do that or something wat idk shh I said nothing[/S]

We can post announcements in certain sections of the website, though it's not something that should be done in a spontaneous manner. That's my opinion on the matter. You'll need more than just my support before something like this comes to fruition.

"Event announcements" should be limited to no more than one per month in order to prevent clutter and maximize interest. You'll have to construct a system that decides which event (when multiple are in progress), if any, receives the announcement.

Yeah, that sounds about right.
And I know I do, sadly I don't think that many people who would actually voice their opinions really care about events
