Hi there,
I hope this is the right section and keep in mind that I am still fairly new to Vindictus and that I play on XE, and my main is Fiona.
With that in mind, my question is if scythe evie is underpowered compared to staff evie prior to Season 2.
Why I wonder this is because I started a new Staff evie to go through the storyline, and at lvl 50 she seems to be doing at least as much damage as my scythe evie lvl 60. Of course my stats aren't exactly equal, I am just eyeballing it, my AP isn't the same, but still, my staff evie does very nice damage. Scythe is also getting a boost in Season 2 compared to staff, I assume because she was lagging behind a bit.
Would changing my scythe into a staff to lvl to lvl 70 make my life much easier or is the difference, assuming it exists at all, negligible?
Thank you!

Prior to S2, Scythe still has the advantage of having a true invincible dodge (Blink). This makes Scythe easier to use in situations where there are multiple moves that break Amber (see every dragon projectile ever).
It's mostly just the mobility from blink though. Staff currently does beat Scythe in utility and damage, but not by so much that Scythe is "useless". Just use the one you like playing more.

Staves are "better", but if you can keep spending AP on scythes, I think you'll be very happy with what happens in season 2. In my opinion, don't bother changing now, just keep going.

Scythe = DPS through Survivability and Mobility
Staff = DPS through mid-ranged support
With some attacks, staff can stay out of the way and have more windows for attacking, as well as not being able to be knocked down while focusing. But her amber is a fairly bad dodge most of the time and doesn't block all the attacks. Basically staff has worse survivability but better DPS but Scythe has lower DPS but better survivability.
