Well that sucks. I wouldn't call him a hero but he certainly did do one of the most amazing things humans have done.
I do believe he went to the moon, what I do have trouble believing is that humans haven't gone back to the moon since the Apollo 17 mission. There's too much scientific/political/economic/military interest to have just suddenly stopped going.

Shouldn't the work of those who invented and prepared his rocket and equipment be more praise worthy?

Their work is amazing as well, but they were comfy at NASA HQ the whole time while the astronauts risked their life from the minute they put a foot into the shuttle until the moment they landed safely back here.

The experience he went through is worth enough for him to risk his life, the act of risking his life is nulled by the huge gain he got from experiencing Space, Space Space!

If NASA was willing to fake great accomplishments, they'd have a second one by now.

Sad to see such a wonderful, honest, and humble person pass away. He preferred to stay out of the spotlight as much as he could and didn't want to remembered just for his trip to the moon.
There's not enough people like him in this world. If there was, the world would be a much better place.
I think I was having an argument with my co-workers the other day ironically about the conspiracy of the moon. People are so stupid, I swear. I think the one thing they fail to realize is that it's really expensive. I think the future is in private spaceflight like that company SpaceX. Perhaps they will be able to get people back on the moon.

I don't see what's wrong with bragging about things. If I went to the moon, I'd be pretty happy. People should just be proud of the accomplishments of others.
As for the moon conspiracy, I won't say much because I don't have a lot of information, but I've looked into it and I don't think things are so straightforward. Really, I don't have much of an opinion on it because I just haven't checked it out enough.

First man on the moon, and people don't think he's a hero? It's pretty hero worthy and opened up a whole new chapter into Space Exploration for the US.
RIP
