Windows 7 Hates Mabi

First off, I realize this is my first post, and I apologize for that. This thing has been driving me insane for the past couple of weeks now.

My sister and my friend have lately been having a problem with the game, where when they log in, as soon as they select a character, it goes to the loading screen, waits a few seconds, then kills itself without so much as an error message. I've already tried reinstalling, registry fixes, etc. Nothing works. The only common factor I've seen is that they both use Windows 7. Googling that brings up a whole lot of topics with no common solution.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Sounds like the game ran out of ram or something. Can you post the system specs?

Roughly:

Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G620 @ 2.60 GHz
AMD Radeon HD 5500 Series
4.00 GB ram

I forgot to mention that sometimes it actually starts; roughly a 1/10 chance every time the game boots up. It still also crashes in the game without warning, however. I should also add that Mabi was fine until a couple of weeks ago, in the case of my friend it was fine until just last week.

All other games and apps work completely fine for both of them.

Try to reinstall from an older installer?
Make sure you've deleted all the mabi files when you uninstall, btw.
Make sure she has nothing else playing while running the game and see if that helps.

Yes, I've reinstalled it twice now, and deleted all the lingering files before each. There are no other programs running aside from Mabi.

Reinstall the game with a new directory like Nexon2 instead of just normal nexon. I am curious if this is the same problem I was having before.

Once you run the game, right click client.exe... create a shortcut... then right click the shortcut then run it as an administer.

The loading launcher should be up, then click game start. Hackshield should load, then tell us what goes from there.

Are you sure it doesn't give you a error on your "ctrl+v"? Try starting the game up again and, after it crashes / kills itself press "ctrl+v" into notepad or something and, see if there is any error there.

I have win7 and Mabi runs fine for me. I can almost guarantee win7 isn't the problem. But good luck!

Edit: After a clean reinstall to a different directory as Kenero suggested it now works without a hitch. Now why would it do that?

There was probably a corrupt file messing with your newer installation.
