In my opinion, it is a boring and uncreative "tactic." I don't have the patience to sit and wait for them to whittle down my Pokemon's hp. Either kill me and get it over with, or I just leave. I'm fine with losing, just lets me know what I need to change, but waiting 10 or so minutes for them to kill one of my mons with spikes is boring as all hell.

entry hazards arent as common as Gen 4.
also preventing entry hazards can be done with the same method as shutting down anyone doing a set up.
so it's fine for now.
also, if you want entry hazard revenge, use Magic Bounce espeon for hilarious results.

Well stealth rock is good...and extremely annoying...it takes out a decent amount of hp for some big threats like volcarona but also that tiny bit of damage it does is enough to make focus sash useless. Rapid spinners are still pretty uncommon too.
I guess theres no real downside for using an entry hazard besides a surprise magic bounce switch but having tor entire tram strategy revolve around entry hazards and force switch is not needed lol. Suction cups cradily I guess would completely wall a team like that but I havent seen a cradily in ages x.x

You will hate to battle me then... because I use similar tactics using defensive Pokemons to take out the opponent slowly.

Some teams are unaffected or barely damage by entry hazards so it's better to have only a few of those on your team if you do. I don't mind at all though since while they're setting up, I can start sweeping or boosting up. x]
