2x question

I was at desert bears today with my free 2x pot that I saved from last event.

I was expecting 8k exp from black bears and 7.2k from white bears... But I usually got lower 5-6k from black bears while 3-5k from white bears :S

Is that supposed to happen?..

If you keep killing o the same area the EXP % is reduced, with the maximum at 50%

No camping penalty tried ccing and still got this weird 5k-8k range :S

Maybe the EXP you were expecting is wrong. Other than that, camping penalty seems the only reasonable answer.

Expedition bonus? The amount of EXP gained changes as you move closer to landmarks or towns I think. The maximum EXP is 400%, but it can be anywhere from 100~400 iirc.

If you kill them on or near the mark, you don't get the expedition bonus.

So instead of 400% times 2 winding up being 800%, you were only getting 200%, even less than killing them if you had maximum camping penalty.

Try changing channels. I had the same issue 2 weeks ago, in Ruari Ch2, mobs were giving half the experience they are supposed to give... Dont know if the exp gain for specific channels is bugged or something

You're both correct and wrong at the same time. lol I had the same problem a while back and looked into it a little. I noticed that sometimes I'd get 400% bonus even on the landmark and other times only 200%.

So when you visit a town or landmark your last warp location gets set to it and you're expedition bonus gets calculated from your last warp position, but it only gets used to calculate your expedition bonus once you cc. That's why you can get 400% on the mark, but once you cc you only get 200%.

For more clarification, expedition bonus is determined by distance from the last town/landmark you visited before your last logout/channel change. For example, changing channels in Qilla Base Camp and travelling to Long Horn Gnus will give an expedition bonus of 400%, but if you change channels there after visiting the Flower Mark, expedition bonus will be based on distance from the Mark instead.

So to solve you problem, use the mana tunnel to a town or other far off land mark, cc there and go back to get your full 400% bonus again. A quick trick to see your last warp location is to look at a "Wings of Goddess".
