Yeah, only overclock if you're willing to read up a lot and know what you're doing. If it goes wrong, your computer won't function. If it goes really wrong, it melts. If it goes exceptionally wrong, it explodes. All of which will render it unusable, effectively wasting whatever money was spent on it.

I'm not entirely sure that overclocking will be of help to you.
To the best of my knowledge, sure it'll increase performance - but unless you are careful with it ... your computer could be damaged beyond the point of no repair.
Maybe it would be better to ask - why do you WANT to overclock? The money spent trying to overclock (or fixing any problems that result) would probably be better spent on getting an upgrade.
