Straight from Nintendo president Satoru Iwata's livestreamed Nintendo Direct event today, here's more of Animal Crossing for 3DS, which Japan gets this November and America and Europe get next year. Clothes-designing is nice, but, wow, look at those houses!
In order to fit in players' lives, Animal Crossing allows people to customize the store hours and pace of life in their town. For example, players can select choices like "The village that gets up early" or " The village that never sleeps". That way, Animal Crossing can match the real life rhythm of its players.
Other new additions include allowing players to design clothes in greater detail—turn those clothes into QR codes and exchange them with other players! And as mentioned above, it has better houses—with better customized furniture.
Never mind this damn link, have a youtube video instead.

Nintendo is making a new Animal Crossing game for Nintendo 3DS and in this game you play as the mayor. A yellow dog named Shizune helps you run the town. You can place decorative items like topiaries and Shizune will walk with you to place the item. However, the item won’t appear right away. Lloid (Haniwa-kun in the Japanese version) will collect money from other townsanimals for the topiary. When you’re rolling in bells this won’t be an issue since you can use your own money to pay for decorative items. One other neat feature is the megaphone which lets you grab other animal’s attention when you shout their name in the 3DS’ microphone.
The museum is customizable. Players can create their own exhibits so you can show off your collection of Gyroids or make a Nintendo themed exhibition. Players can also visit Club 444 which has comedian named Shisho and K.K. who mixes music with turntables on the weekends. You can choose your character’s reaction by picking a facial expression.
Animal Crossing 3DS also has a fruit collecting multiplayer mini-game. You have to pick up a specific kind of fruit like apples, cherries, or mangos. There’s another mini-game where you use toy mallets to hit an electric car. Animal Crossing for Nintendo 3DS comes out on November 8 in Japan.
