I think im gonna pick up vindictus again just because it was looking cool and mabi was boring. Soooo
Can someone tell me pros and cons about Evie Lann and Fiona? I might be forgetting the 4th guy but I dont remeber who that was or even if hes out lol. Just basic info if anyone could tell me basics.
Also when I play and run dungeons with people what are some things to get and remeber? Like feathers in mabi is there something I should get?

5 Characters
Evie - Magic-based, Staff and Scythe; Generally easy; High DPS
Fiona - Sword/Hammer shield based; Highest possible survivability; Moderate difficulty ; High or Low DPS depending on weapon choice
Karok - Pillar and Cestus based; Decent Survivability; Moderate DPS; Moderate Difficulty
Kai - Ranged Based, mobile ranged class; Very High DPS; Small error margin; Easy
Lann - Twin Sword/Spear class; Small Error Margin; Highest DPS or 2nd Lowest (Spears and Swords); Very Difficult

Eh, my honest opinion is that all the classes are pretty difficult to play effectively. It'll be easier to get away with stuff on a Staff Evie or Kai if you're not going to invest too much time into the game though.
Fiona, Lann, and Karok require more time investment, but I do feel they're some of the better characters once you do get there. But given that you are completely new to the game, Kai/Staff Evie tend to work better off of budget builds.
For the second question: remember to always carry a ton of potions and feathers. You can carry 16 HP Potions and 3 Phoenix Feathers into each run (as well as 1 Party Feather for later), so make sure you always stock up on those.

I feel like Karok is never good enough, lmao.
I mean he has survivability, but I don't think he hits hard enough. I dunno, maybe that's just me. It's not getting better anytime soon either. He does, however, have the ability to clash, which can do huge amounts of damage to some bosses or allow others to do huge amounts of damage. I guess that makes up for it.
You can carry up to 32 potions if you buy fine HP potions. They're about 2K each right now (last I checked), but you don't have to use them until you run out of regular potions anyway. I guess you can get even more potions if you use NX, but I don't like that and find it unnecessary.
I recommend Kai if you want "the really good character".

I mean ill only play this game in my free time so it might not be all that much as of now lol so staff evie sounds good. I liked her when I first saw her to.
And potions and feathers I figured it was like that haha but thanks for everyones advice for this!

You'll probably like her.
Well, I dunno, I think she's one of the most enjoyable characters and others find her one of the most boring, guess it depends. Try her out at least until you get Ice Spear and then you'll have a good idea of what she's gonna be like.
This is not the kinda game you have to play hard, like 10 hours/day or anything like that. Playing casually works out fine even if it's just a couple hours a week. At endgame, most regulars only play a couple hours a day at most, if they even come on everyday.

Good stuff to know. This game is only when I dont have anything to do which is rarely nowadays lol. But Ice spear you say...I now especially want to use Evie :D

Just how? He has better survivability than Lanns.

Small error margin, meaning there's very little chance of making an error.

Oh, thought that meant you'd get screwed over if you made a mistake.
Pray tell, how does Lann have "small error margin"? I've been screwed over many, many times as both a Sword and Spear.

Lann has a small error margin? o.e He's kind of a Get hit=Dead character, you need precise timing to play right.

Well, here's my observations.
Kai's dodge has less invincibility frames than r6 slip. It also starts later in the animation. If you throw down a grapple, you're completely vulnerable to attacks. Kai has higher survivability because he can stay farther away from the boss, but in reality, he's just as squishy as Lann.
Either way, precise timing is required for both Kai and Lann, more for Lann though, as he's in the boss's face all the time.

How much invul frames does he have? Also, who'd throw down the grapple right while being attacked/aggroed?

lol, but he can throw down a grapple whenever the hell he wants and teleport across the room invincible. The cooldown is like 3 seconds, that's the most broken part of it.
And he has all the other defensive options of Lann. He definitely has better survivability if geared equally.
