In the current meta for Yugioh, God cards are completely worthless. I'm not gonna lie, they're a hell of a lot easier to summon, but they're easily removed from the field. There's much better alternative cards out there that have much more useful effects as well as being twice as easy to summon. Also the signature is merely a part of the artwork, it by no means makes the card rare or valuable in anyway.

Wow really? Gee tell me more I didn't know any of this!!! I mean I Planned on using it in the regional finals and EVERYTHING!
No really, tell me something I don't know. For one, I know the signature is just part of the foil and that it doesnt make it anymore valuable.
2: I really don't care if it's worthless or not, It's not like I'm going to go around and try to actually use it in battle or play with it.
3: While all of that of what you said is interesting I don't really care because I own at least half of the easier to summon cards. Does it really matter since I don't play in tounrys? No it really doesn't. Is it a fact? Yes it is.
4: Go bother someone else with facts they probably already know.
5: When I said 'signed' I was implying it wasn't a REAL signature.

Someone sounds rather frustrated. You called it a "rare trading card" and made it sound special by saying it's "tourny legal", and I simply pointed out why it's not really that special at all. In addition, if memory serves correctly the only good card that ever came out of Shonen Jump was Red-eyes Darkness Metal Dragon. Other then that most Shonen Jump cards aren't great at all.

The antagonizing tone is unnecessary, especially when someone is just giving advice. They don't know what's inside your brain. You can't blame them for not knowing that you knew. There is seriously no reason to jump on someone for this. :/

Then I'll just leave a couple of reminders here:
If someone annoys you enough that you can't stand them no matter what, there's an ignore list function.
If they annoy you but not that much, you still have a responsibility to behave properly, no matter who you're dealing with.
(When I say "You" I mean people in general, by the way, not anyone specific. No one should justify their behavior using someone else's.)

Sorry for late replying, I'm not able to get on here as often as I want.
In terms of it being special printed for SJ, yes it is a rare card and eventually they stop printing it. Being a god-card and all, it usually isn't allowed to be used in tournaments, this version however is tournament approved, and 1 copy may be added to your deck, depending on if you use it or not doesn't really matter.
On another note I'm going to say that a lot of the cards from SJ that I have gotten have proven to be useful to me various times it really just depends on how you play them and how you use them. Its a game of strategy not something you can use a few cheap tricks in to win. (we have cards that counter other cards for a reason.)
Sorry for being hostile with you, but you sounded like a know-it-all.

Congrats on getting the Yugioh card then, I'm sure even if you can't use it - it's nice to be in possession of.
Now go get the other two God cards =D

Actually, tourney-legal god cards are EXTREMELY overpowered due a very little-known deck type, involving Macro Cosmos, Return from Another Dimension, and

As long as you make the deck fast, there's little to nothing your opponent can do about it, all the key cards are banished until the moment right before you instantly win the duel.

The only flaw with above is that Ra's text says it cannot be special summoned at all. Slifer and Obelisk are the easy cards to get onto the field. Also the deck is fucked if your opponent sets up cockblock cards like Solemn Warning/Judgement, which is pretty much a staple to every deck. If you're going to build a deck based on summoning God Cards for Horakhty, then they're obviously going to proc their Solemns on your key cards.

Maenad wrote on 2012-09-12 21:57
Ra doesn't need to be special summoned. Just keep one in your hand - When you use Return from another dimension, aside from Slifer and Obelisk, there's going to be three additional monsters on your side of the field that you can tribute summon Ra with.
And based on the draw spam nature of the deck, you can easily throw a wrench into your opponent's plans because you're going to end up drawing a card that can destroy whatever they put out at one point or another.
In my experience, the deck is so quick, they don't even have time to do anything. Much like the Exodia draw spam decks, but less cliche, and a bit more fair because it gives your opponent more of a chance.

Newer decks themselves are pretty fast to their own right, and it's not as though they're not going to attempt driving a wrench into your own plans either. Even Exodia decks tend to lose because of cards that either force you to discard your key cards, or through simple beatdown. I won't deny that it's a good deck though, just that I don't see it working realistically against decks like Six Spamurai.
