  The only difference is one "might" have been born somewhere other than the US and one "might" have committed tax fraud. Me? I could care less where Obama was born; he could have been born on Mars and I'd still vote for him. I fail to see why being born in the US is such a big deal, especially when he's still a US citizen regardless due to his Mom being American.
  
  Now tax fraud on the other hand, that's something that's completely inexcusable and is actually a legit issue, especially when involving a potential president.

  I didn't mean that doing illegal things was simply a way of life, but that we're really just making total guesses that he "might" be doing something bad without proof. And if he does provide proof, people will just start bothering him about other things based on the proof provided that are irrelevant and have nothing to do with the law.

  The fact that he's hiding something for no reason is always a red flag. What other reason would a presidential candidate have to hide such documents? For shits and giggles? I hate you break it to you, but there is legit reason to be concerned.
  
  If he has nothing to hide, he should stop being such a whiny brat and show the documents. If it turns out there's nothing wrong? Then people will eventually move on and forget about the whole thing. But if he's hiding them because he actually did something wrong? That's something EVERYONE deserves to know. Because if he is capable of committing tax fraud and refuses to come clean about it, then who's to say he won't do something worse? If you can't even trust a billionaire to be honest and not be greedy, then how can you trust a man like that to handle our country?
  
  Honestly, anyone who is not concerned over this is either confident the Obama will win either way, or is a fool who blindly follows Romney and his lies around and has no clue how serious the presidential race and the affects it will inevitably have on our country are.

  From this first line I could already tell we would disagree. I'm a huge privacy advocate to stop people from pulling information out of nothing. If they have enough reason to believe he actually is cheating, they can still get it, but they don't.

  The problem with this argument is that there is no right answer, but there is a legally recognized answer and I happen to agree with it. I'm not saying that automatically makes it right, but that I defend the logic behind it and don't think the "you have nothing to hide, don't you?" argument is valid under any circumstances. People aren't just guilty until proven innocent and we can't just decide someone might've done something bad and force them to prove otherwise just because we feel like it.

  That's completely different. He's running for president. He's going to be making decisions that affect the country, whereas we could be anons on the internet. The worst thing we could do to you is hit you in the face with meanypants words. He's vying for much more power than that.

  P.S. Obama is the only president (as far as I know) that publicly released their birth certificate.
