I suppose I wouldn't be opposed to joining, but I don't usually have a lot to say since I usually don't have a lot of common interests with people, at least none that are exactly exciting to discuss.
Skype: codyljenkins
Name should show as Cody

I get home late today, but if you four aren't in by the time I get home, I'll make room.
@The people already in the chat, don't blame me if I remove you for being inactive!
Actually, I guess the only one you can blame is me, so go ahead.

As I said in the Skype chat, but it probably got lost somewhere in the 1000+ messages an hour, but instead of using Skype, why not just use
Dolby Axon? It let's you have up to 50 people in the chat room at once (and a waiting list for another 100 people), so in the unlikelihood that we get more than 50 people wanting to be in the room at one time, you don't have to worry about kicking people. Just seems a lot easier and friendlier than having to figure out which 24 people you want to keep in the chat, and then kick inactive people just so 2 or 3 people can talk vocally with the occasional call that has more than that.

I'll stick to the IRC.
I don't do calls so there's no point being on skype if people will keep getting kicked out for being idle in favor of people who do want to take part in calls.
IRC is idle friendly.

And IRC is capable of handling hundreds of people at a time without issue. Theoretical limit right now is somewhere around 5000 people, practical limit might be a great deal higher.
We should reserve the skype room only for voice conversations, and make general chat be in the IRC.
That way people who only want to chat can do so without taking up slots that people might want for voice.

@Arsik, Zid made me download that, but I never used it. Does it have text chat too?
@Osay, well at least I won't feel bad about kicking you to make room for Excalibur
@Odin, we've tried situation where there's a voice room and a text room, sometimes using skype for both, sometimes a mix, sometimes both being something other than skype. In the end, that's not a good solution, since people have to manage two rooms for the same conversation, and some people will end up not using one and then it becomes two completely different chats.

There is text support. Axon is pretty much a chat room with a Ventrillo server kinda built in.
