Oh and I have always tried to come up with ways to compensate the staff and wiki squad before - maybe some didn't work out (and I apologize) but can't say I didn't try. [Image: http://www.mabiguru.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif]

As to what was said, you don't try. You either do it or you don't.
Maybe is too vague as well. I won't be surprised if there are bigger secrets.

Everything that motemote said sums up what I think of the events that are going on.
And finally after 2 days (5 days total I think) he decided to come clean and to let the cat that's he has been trying to trap out of the bag when someone decided to risk it and tell everyone where everyone has gone to.
Hiding never solves anything, if there is anything to be learnt from this. Lying as well.
I'm not going to do anything to guru. Now taking a wait-and-see approach to what will go on over there. My work is done.

I don't understand why Itchy is calling himself the scapegoat. From the facts, it looks like he's the only one responsible for the whole thing in the first place. It seems pretty sad, first he tries to buy back users with enticing nx card offers. Now he's hoping people will pity him?
Just read his recent posts and all of it is him QQing about all the haters and how badly he has been wronged.
You know what? I'm going to leave this post up and show everyone what I have been dealing with these last 2 days. You will be banned however...
Note the cleaver and intentional dodge of my filter by using l instead of i and a google link instead of direct link... SIGH
And you're right, it's ONLY me right now managing these forums (mod positions opening soon) which is why I had to temporarily disable signature, pm, old post editing and filter/censor words so it would be actually feasible for one single person alone to deal with dozens of spammers like you on top of bots.
Anyways, I never complained about co-existence and admitted my fault which caused this situation but certain people seem to want to use me as a scapegoat for everything wrong in life <-(A bit of exaggeration, all people have blamed you for is what you did wrong and nothing more and completely crush me.
If at all so, I think Itchy is the one attempting to be manipulative and trying to get people back to the site to restore his mabiguru revenue.

I'll tell you the reason. He's avoiding responsibility for his fault as usual. The way I see it, it's immaturity at its worst.
I can also say that his actions sparked off the fire on a lot of people. Bannings, restrictions, malicious pop-up ads. Couldn't things go a different way?
If things had gone the following way, I would have a different view on him: If say that he accepts that he has neglected the site and his staff, and says that he will work hard at rebuilding mabiguru, and unban the members who had been telling others about Nation and welcome them back anytime they want as an alternative, I might reconsider going back once in a while to post.
Some people may criticise that this is too naive. However, the way I see it currently going, it will not work out at all. You can't expect people to come back if you don't unban them. If it's not acceptable, really the only other way is for guru to go totally down and be lost forever.

Then again, there's nothing that can really be done Itchy can do to save the site. Ban all the movers and censor everything about this site, and no one would want to go. Give the freedom to post, and all the active users will say Mabiguru is moving!
Itchy doesn't seem to have much love for mabinogi and the motivation for running the site is pure money and as he stated earlier today "to put up a fight". Without love for the game or the community, it is impossible for a mabi fan site to survive, unless he's trying to rake in as much ad profit as possible with all the people coming in recently to view what the drama is all about and then shut down the site completely.

I agree...
Without much love for Mabinogi and with the intent for running the site for money, there is a lack of understanding. Which is why they couldn't contact him for a year or so as well, right?
Crush him? No intention on ever doing that, if that's the way he sees things, that's his own problem. I care less about guru and the guy himself. I care more for the people who are and should be at a place where the people really do care.
Also, you cannot buy loyalty with money. You can buy people's time with money, but you might not necessarily gain their loyalty. Which is why I see the NX contest as too desperate a move. I can pity him. I cannot empathise with him.

Like I've been fearing, he's just going to get a new round of members and new staff stupid enough to continue to do all of the work for him. It's a shame. He's going to make it look good at first but disappear again - people never change and he only cares about the dollar sign, as he's proven more than once. Here's to hoping nobody is foolish enough to work for this man again.

I dunno why people keep posting there. People from here. o_o
You guys would do anything for free NX.
I find Itchy a repulsive individual, judging by his actions.
The moderators here are the kindest people I've met and I'm glad I've stood by them all this time.
R.I.P. Mabiguru
It's already hit the iceberg. Just let it sink already, guys.
