Yes, sign the petition to keep the game the same old, will eventually get boring, beginner-unfriendly mabi.

Looks like optimal age for Wizard is 12. Most int and MP bonuses. Odd since most mages are 17 now for same reasons.
wow just wow.
Why couldn;t we just rebirth every three weeks instead of waiting until the age 20 GG nexon :/

The learning curve to Mabinogi isn't hard. I've experienced way worse. Just that it takes a while to get used to the flow of combat. If you've had any prior MMO experience and actually think about what your doing instead of mindlessly wailing on something then you can learn the game much faster. And once you do get the flow it's like a personal reward for toughing it out and now you can just enjoy the game more.

At lvl 50/15...
An age 17 bard will have an additional 60 dex or roughly 24/20 damage. They'll also have 50 extra hp.
An age 17 wizard will have an addtional 70 mp, and 50 int netting 2.5% bonus magic damage in addition to linear int damage.
An age 13 wizard will have an additional 80 int for 4% bonus damage and an age 12 wizard would boast 85 extra mp.
An age 13 merchant will have an additional 60 stamina and 80 luck.
An age 15 knight will have an additional 66 str for 26/22 damage and 66 more hp. They also have 66 more stamina.
I had to hastily redo the math, so these numbers are a bit off. They should be running a little low.
The magic nerf is starting to make sense though. If intelligence gives a 1% boost per 20 int then that makes up for it and then some when you add in the masteries.

An age 17 wizard will have an addtional 219 mp, and 156 int netting 8% bonus magic damage in addition to linear int damage.
An age 13 wizard will have an additional 282 int for 14% bonus damage and an age 12 wizard would boast 282 extra mp.
An age 13 merchant will have an additional 219 stamina and 282 luck.
An age 15 knight will have an additional 156 str for 60/52 damage and 146 more hp. They also have 146 more stamina.
At least, that's what the numbers work out to. There's some poorly translated bit that suggests the actual bonuses might be a 4th of this I think but I can't tell.

So in other words nexon wants to make mages young so they can weekly rb :/ this update is failing me.

That's because these bonuses all come from the age-up table. Level-ups are usually 1/4 that value per level.

Age 17 mages aren't at all weak compared to younger ones. Slightly lower stats but not enough to overcome the age bonus unless you lvl very high.

That makes more sense, the damage gains and especially the luck gains looked a little too crazy.

I was talking stat wise, not about the battle engine.

Went over it again, should be more accurate now though all of the boosts will be less than actual since I didn't factor in aging and may have accidentally divided some of the base out .-.

I think wizard is going to need all three adv magic to really be viable, though on the whole I agree.
It's a little underwhelming.

Oh well every MMORPG is a struggle to gain power/fame/money. Nothing new.
