Is it at all possible? We no longer have wireless internet at our house, so my laptop can't connect to Steam at all. Desktop can't run Skyrim, unfortunately.

Play it using offline mode? I don't think the steam workshop mods work if you do though.

Why no wireless though D: should be solving that instead of possible...
Pretty sure offline mode will work, most of my skyrim playtime was with steam turned off, launching via mod manager.

For whatever reason, Steam can only do offline mode when you have internet access. It needs access to the server to verify your account. Forgot all about the mod manager launching it.
I suppose I could always try and use my neighbors wireless, since it is unprotected. It is very slow, though. At the very least, it should let me connect to Steam.

Naturally, the directory will be different if you installed Steam somewhere other than the default directory.

That can't be right. I went a month without internet once and I was using steam in offline mode just fine.

When you have internet, Just make sure you are logged in Steam
Offline mode only works when you are logged in before

On the topic of using steam in offline mode, make sure you just turn your wireless on your laptop completely off. (You should have a switch on your laptop some where to disable your wireless.)
If you're still connected to the network without internet access or trying to connect to it, Steam likes to sit there and try to connect to the internet even though you tell it to go in offline mode. At least, that's how it always is for me.

Well, I decided to take a look in my Skyrim files to try and launch it from there. Looks like I didn't install any mods after I had to reset my computer back to factory settings (long story). Debating whether it is worth it to even play now, since it is the crappy vanilla Skyrim.

It's so boring without mods.
Lack of content.

Kinda late on this, but I couldn't get it to run from any of the executables in the folder without it trying to go through Steam to start.
