  I wouldn't say it was a great lab. Just a few routers and a single server and a switch on a rack, although it did help us learn a lot about how basic networking worked. Which I guess means it worked perfectly, as that was the point of the class.
  
  I would invest in some hardware if I was not a completely broke college student.

  More stuff came in, including my Rack.
  Just missing a few random pieces, and the RAM for the ESXi hosts. I hope that all comes in next week.

  I love mine, except for the shitty 24pin power connector that came on the cable. Took me for ever to finally plug it in because the pins would move and hence would not line up. =_=;

  Tonight I built the SAN, and started racking the networking equipment and doing the cabling.
  The 2 ESXi hosts are waiting the UPS delivery of their RAM, should be here wednesday. Pictures of the rack coming when everything is placed into it.

  I've got it set up the traditional way, servers and stuff facing the front, switch and router flipped the other way around so all the ports are at the back for easier cabling to the servers. I might consider getting longer cables and make everything facing the front so it "looks cool", but it's much easier to work like this in datacenter situations so I rather keep up the best practices.

  2x 1U servers (ESXi Hosts)
  1x 4U SAN at the bottom (storage)
  at the top is a PDU (pretty much a rack mountable power bar), a 24 port switch, and the watchguard router. There's also my ISP modem and old WIFI router which is now just an access point.

  parts + ridiculous shipping fees (both for parts and getting it to you), and I'll bet customs get their grubby hands on it so probably that as well.
