Once you buy a gadget, you can do whatever the hell you want with it. You can hack it, burn it, shoot it, blend it, anything. This is what jailbreakers believe and it's true, it should be legal. The companies that make the products may not like it, but they can't do anything to stop you. Besides, it's fun that you can jailbreak something and can customize it in different ways that the companies that makes these gadgets could have thought of, but didn't do so. I've jailbreak my iPod plenty of times, just that around other people, when they see you do something like that, it makes them go "Errr... wow". I went to a friend's house before and her dad rigged the Wii to play roms and downloaded all these Wii games and play it through the Wii's hard drive, I think it worked that way. It was cool and I think a lot of people hack their XBox 360s and so far, I think the PS3 is still uncrackable. I heard the famous hacker just gave up on it.
