So my laptop came with a mechanical 750gb 5400rpm hard drive.
Should I replace it with sata III 120gb ssd or try to buy a 7200rpm drive?
Originally, I wanted to have my os on my ssd and use my hard drive to store games, but I found out my laptop can only hold one 2.5'' drive. I guess I could try to get a mSATA drive, but I have no clue how much I have to dish out for a decent one.
I am using this laptop for gaming so I want to have some room for games, but I also want some decent loading times.
Thanks in advance for the help.

It really all depends if you need space on anything extra. Yes an SSD is LOVELY but a 7200RPM gets the job done, and you have plenty of space leftover for everything else.

So go for a 7200rpm drive?

Practically speaking yeah 7200RPM is the logical choice. But if you're after loading speed and higher CPU I/O requests fetching time then the choice would be the SSD.
Although to be honest it's much more expensive and not necessary for an ssd.

Meh even a 7200rpm seems expensive.
around $80 for 750gb of 7200rpm hd.
Maybe i'll keep using 750gb 5400rpm.
