Download tconfig and the mods that are available in the terraria forums, it'll add a shit-ton of content like extreme bosses that'll blow shit up and stuff.

Besides the brutal content of the mods that only appear in hardmode, there is quite alot of good stuff as well.

Especially Obsidian's, omnir's, W1k's, and Zoogle's binding and Necro mods.

You could even make your own mods if you wanted to, very time consuming though unless you know how to make proper sprite sheets. If you're good with coding, you could add in your very own ai's for entities and stuff.
