Estimating Talent Levels (Before G17)

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. In anticipation of the announced update...

Talent Level Calculator
Enter all your skill ranks to see what levels you can expect to have when logging in. Credits to Solar from Mabidata.
Note that you must be able to open newer .xlsx type files due to multi-nested formulas, which some versions of Excel can't read.
Also note that each race has a separate stat sheet on the bottom left, due to slight differences in EXP values.

Talent Stat Bonus Calculator
Enter all your talent levels to see what stats you can expect to gain when logging in. A messy spreadsheet I threw together to use as an estimate.
Note that this can be run by old versions of Excel, but doesn't aid in figuring out your levels. Copy + "Paste Special" (Values) makes transferring from the first file easy.
Also note that there's only a sheet for humans, because I'm lazy. Elves and Giants can expect slightly higher stat bonuses (STR/HP for Giants, DEX/INT/MP for Elves).

For reference, in S3 Shadow Missions are changed to Talent Level 5 (Inter), 8 (Adv), 11 (Hard), 15 (Lord). [GG Cooking Dungeon for List 3 on Basic]

Really nice calculator you got there. My bonuses won't be nearly as hefty as yours, but got quite a few 11s, 12s and 13s. Oddly enough, once I rank Synthesis to 1 that will be my first 15, making my first Grandmaster title the one with mana reduction. Kinda nice, really.

BTW There is a noticeable discrepancy between this and the desktop gadget Soluna also made in terms of experience required. This is also missing Puppetry. (and this matters soon enough because of reasons)

If the discrepancy is not an error, then I would consider this to be inaccurate since the gadget is newer and this file was made during the testing stages.

I didn't go through the Levels file because Solar locked his file so I'd either have to start from scratch, or rudely crack the lock (and because I'm lazy). But the Stats file should be correct since I used the NA pack file for that.

Either way, that's pretty much the reason I worded the thread title the way I did. Puppet Talent being absent is also covered in the title.

Going into G17, anyway. Trying to decide if I wanna Grand Master for Fighter or for Traveler, since I probably won't be playing much longer after G17 comes out anyway lol.

Finally took time to look into this.
The excel sheet seems to match up with the NA packfiles, for about 20 or so skills and their respective talent levels (combat, range, lance). Didn't want to go through all the thousands of values though so I stopped after that.

He's released version 1.2.0 which fixes Critical Hit and the formula it uses, IIRC.
