Except Jagex, Jagex hates gold bots with a passion, and announce their latest segments of killing sprees on the gold farming plague.

Mabinogi is nowhere near as large as WoW, but the map is still generally big.

Let's say that bots are generally located around the four starting areas, the Iria and Uladh starting zones for humans and the Elf and Giant zones. There are seven channels for each server (or at least there should be). You would need at least 8 people, 4 online at a time for each area, to mindlessly channel hop the same area to weed out bots every time they come back to completely halt them 24 hours a day. I'm pretty sure nobody wants a job staying up 2 AM in the morning monitoring channels in a video game for bots.

Banning gold advertisers isn't exactly productive either because by the time you ban one, they will have already gotten their message across by advertising their site, and will appear again. The whole cycle is a game of whack-a-mole that ends the moment you decide to give up.

My main point is that it's more costly than it is beneficial for any MMO whatsoever. My comparison using a needle in a haystack is merely to signify how incredibly hard and redundant of an idea it is to be hiring people for that kind of job in the first place.

This pretty much. Some GMs banned players as well for their inaproppriate behaviors. You can start to expect GMs to be on a "patrol" for botted golds soon.

Bravo GMs, Bravo.

They found out that one of the checks I received for 5 mil for my Glorious Highlander Long Bow was duped. While they did remove it from me, they gave me 10k NX in compensation.

They're really stepping up their game.

As other posts said, they already do.

I heard that they have been much more active lately than they did a long time ago.
