According to mabinogi lore, the unforgiving world (the world of vindictus) is burned to the ground leaving almost no life, except for demons, rampid disease and carnage everywhere and anywhere.
When do you suppose this will occure in the plot?
How the heck....This is just a bombshell. If you don't know where this came from, this is from Vindictus Website. So this basically confirms that Erinn and the world of Vindictus is the one and the same
You might also keep in mind that the two run on two different... I forget the name... worlds? Vindictus' storyline doesn't quite exactly match up to what happens in Mabinogi's, so Ragnarok might not ever come to Vindictus. I don't think the heroes are told to have fought pirates (Season 2) in Mabinogian lore either.
well keep in mind the game takes place a significant amount of time before mabinogi, and obviously all lore isn't carried over to the next game or vice versa.
They are different games, but vindictus is definitely the prequel of mabinogi in terms of direct lore.
What is direct lore? (Sorry, I just don't keep up with Mabinogi's storyline  )
I believe that there was a part in G16 or something where the story of how Morrighan and Cichol opened up the gates to Erinn doesn't match up with what the Vindictus storyline implies, if that's... lore. :XD:
Unfortunately I can't dispute that because I can't for the life of me remember. The wiki page on the storyline also only goes so far because it is not updated

From what I remember is (Major spoilers for both games' storylines)
In Vindictus, Tieve (Embodiment of Morrighan) goes to Heide with Keaghan (Embodiment of Darkness, Cichol) and fight a huge dragon, Keaghan eats Verafim's heart to gain immense dark power, only for Verafim to cheat him out and enter the original Fomorian god Elchulus' body to gain control. Keaghan then becomes Cichol (Though I forget exactly how, I think it was something having to do with his soul or his destiny) and goes through a void portal thing saying he will prevent Erinn from ever coming, labelling it as a false promise or hope. Tieve then grows wings and black hair, becoming Morrighan (Again, forget how... it's been too long D: ) and disappearing, apologizing after Keaghan has disappeared. At this point, the current storyline of Vindictus ends and everybody forgets who Tieve and Keaghan are, and the entire legend of the prophecy, the promise of Erinn, disappears from everyone's memory.
Now in Mabinogi (Coming straight from G16) Cichol and Morrighan are young kids that decided to go have some fun or something, and find this secret place to be together. Getting older, older, something (Forgot what) doesn't work out and they are forced to split, I think it was a dispute over the humans and/or Milletians or Fomors. (After this point I'm blank.)
Tieve and Keaghan are adults in the Vindictus storyline, and have connections to many people (also started out as humans) whereas you start Mabinogi's storyline with Morrighan and Cichol as children, simply finding a hole and never really telling if they had any other friends or something. You also never know how Morrighan and Cichol came to be gods, or if they were ever something else at all. Some similarities, however, are that in both storylines the two are in love/have affection for the other, they're both gods (though I might add, in Vindictus' storyline Elchulus the Dragon, or Verafim who possesses him, was the Fomorian god, not Cichol) and Erinn was brought because of them (Keaghan's destiny was simply to let it happen, I believe).
Sorry for the long post.
Looking back, I think I have no idea what I'm saying. Perhaps someone more well-informed could clean up the storylines for me.
In all seriousness, that does bring up an excellent point. I want to know how Season 3 decides to handle the story, since I think it occurs 2/3 years after the ending of Season 1?
Admittedly, total destruction doesn't make for very interesting gameplay.
