So, a newer game plays better than a 6 year older one?
What a shocker.

Haven't watched the vid yet because I was responding to some things, but I honestly feel A Link to the Past "plays better" overall. It's mainly because it's 2D vs 3D, though. In 2D, it always did exactly what you told it to and 3D required a lock-on system, which is bound to have its faults. A Link to the Past feels like such a classic where everything is so solid all around. A 2D game made in the primetime of 2D, basically, where everything just worked. I actually find it much more aesthetically pleasing, too, but 3D almost never ages well.
(view in fullscreen, the thumbnails look a little better than they are)

Everyone in the comment section is complaining about that, but I actually enjoy it. It's a lot more laid back and natural sounding to me.

When I read the title I expected Egoraptor new sequelitis. I guess that's not out yet haha. He made good point but personally I can't stand replaying ocarina of time for some reason while I'll always be able to pick up a link to the past and play it. Im not saying Ocarina was bad, I enjoyed it but it was more of a one time deal for me.

well the guy said Link to the Past has more of an arcade feel
where the gameplay is somewhat repetitive and yet demands a certain level of practice and experience
Also the 2d puzzles are still better than the 3D zeldas.

Why not play both? Why should people [S]argue[/S] explain why one is better than the other because of insert this here?
Just seems weird to me. If you like it, you like it. If you don't, you don't. xD

Except I liked Link to the Past ten times more than Ocarina of Time.
Played and beat both, loved both, but man the SNES version holds a really special place in my heart.

It's not, it's just normal.

It sounds that way because it is.
Certainly more enjoyable than the likes of NostalgiaCritic or that AngryJoe guy or whatever he's called, with their obnoxiously exaggerated narration, gestures and artificial emotionality. I mean they're not playing the game at that point, they're reviewing it. There is no game mechanic to make you hysterically mad or excited at that point in time, and it's just fucking annoying if you pretend to be.
To me at least.

Some people can do it, others can't.
AVGN gets away with it because of his personality, and he was one of the first. Some people just have a more suitable style... but yeah, most of them annoy me and come off as too cheesy and obnoxious. EgoRaptor does it pretty well too.
