Getting a perfect score is surprisingly hard (for me), though it really shouldn't be difficult.
Me:
before studying - 1640
after studying - 2360
You don't need to get ALL of the questions right in each section (concerning multiple choice) to get a perfect score; surprisingly, there's some leeway. But you should study more so that you aren't caught off-guard, and you know all the question types, so that you're able to choose the answer, even if you don't really know the answer.

You care too much on things that are not even needed. Just saying.

My SAT score got me into college with my crap-shiet GPA (2.9 on a 6.0 scale). I needed to make up for my slacking off >.<

Just checked my score. 2010 ._. I wanted at least a 2050, but it's good enough for me.

I have a 2.3 GPA going to a private college. No SAT Taken. College don't care about scores if you have the money you are in. Put it this way if Donald Trump had a son and he was fkin retarded he can get into Harvard.

wow you have no idea what the fuck your talking about....
First of all, Donald Trump does have sons, and they did go to college and get legit degrees. NONE of them went to Harvard.
College applicant process is, from what i have heard, very random. There are a few people with enough will power to brute-force their way into a good college (4.0 GPA on 4 scale, 2400 SAT, NMS, lots of extracurriculars etc.)
I hear a lot of colleges are getting rid of the Legacy programs.

The only reason the legacy system is still there is because legacy candidates are on average more academically competent than non-legacys
The cat's master's cousin's friend is an admissions officer at Stanford
There's no magic formula but it's mostly first impressions. Whether the admission officer likes you or not. (Everyone who applies has a high GPA, SATs anyways)
that's why you apply to multiple universities if you shoot for Ivy Leagues
Public universities are far more predictable
high GPA, high SAT score will get you in easy
even into Berkeley

It does matter. Mainly because my extracurricular aren't incredibly strong. I don't have any leadership positions and my GPA is 3.5~ unweighted. The schools i'm applying to aren't exactly easy to get into either, and my family isn't affluent enough to just get me into any college lol.

My 2100 SAT score is what got me in to college with a lame 2.9 GPA.
Though all the other shit I did during high school probably helped.

I never took the SAT/ACT, never saw a reason to that and we couldn't afford to pay the testing prices so I never bothered my mom with it.
I've never needed it, so I have no regrets about not taking it.
