Every time I start Mabi from the launcher or the website, I always get this error before Pleione Engine finishes initializing.
I've already redownloaded the game, and the only programs on my computer were Skype and Firefox, which have worked in the past with Mabinogi.
Error code: 0x00010501

Do you use some sort of vpn or some thing that boosts the performance of games on your computer? Are you sure you dont have hacks/ mods in your computer? If you do, well theres your answer. Delete them and you are all set. Seriously, hacking isn't cool if you ruin someone else's experience in the game (not saying you do it). When was the last time mabinogi worked for you, and did you download any programs after the last time mabinogi worked for you?

Mabinogi was working earlier this week, no problems.
I have Hamachi on in the background, but it's never clashed with Mabinogi before, I tried disabling it, but still didn't work.
Heck, I even had a friend give me a new HShield folder to see if that was the problem.
I have no hacks/mods on my computer, but it's prone to getting viruses for some reason.
An interesting thing to note is that the login music sounds all warbled, but my sound is also prone to being messed up.
I even followed the steps in this guide:
http://mabinogi.nexon.net/Community/forums#%2Fshowthread.php%3F222604-Guide-To-Fixing-Your-Mabinogi-Client to no avail.

Are you possibly trying to run Mabinogi with Steam? Did you have previous mods before uninstalling the game?

Never modded my game, and I generally run it from the launcher in the folder.
I've tried running it from the website as well, but the same problem as well.
I also recently did a System Restore, but I've redownloaded the game several times by now.

For what purpose did you do a system restore? was it after mabi stopped working or before? Also, do you defragment and check your computer for viruses? Perhaps there is a corrupted file somewhere on your computer that is interrupting hack shield.

I did a system restore because of a virus (Wasn't kidding about being prone to getting them) that was taking over my computer. Mabinogi was working before, and it was working after the restore.
I already ran Tdss killer and Malwarebytes to check for any remaining viruses. The link I posted earlier was a way to remove all traces of anything Mabinogi related on my computer, so there's little chance I have a corrupted file, unless the download was corrupted.
I have not defragmented my computer though, what is that?

what system do you run?

Windows Vista, upgraded to Windows 7, 32-bit.

just type defragmenter in the search box, or whatever they use for windows 7 (i have 64 bit vista), and then run it. Also, try a disk check, if you can, should get it by typing chkdsk in the search./ run box.

Ran both, Mabinogi still isn't working.
Maybe I should just stop playing...
The sound is still all warbled, but it's clear on Skype/Youtube...

System restore messes up hack shield for some reason. Try a complete uninstall (through control panel) and delete the original Nexon > Mabinogi folder (the actual folder that sticks around in your hard drive after the uninstall). Do a fresh install. If that doesn't work, do a fresh install in a different folder (i.e. Nexon>Mabinogi2). Sometimes things sticking around the old folder affect the installation. I have no idea why but from my experience, it seems to work.

Do a clean boot up I was getting this cause I had a Proxy program running in the background. It is probably a background program that is running but you aren't aware of it and, it's probably causing the problem.
You can google how to do a clean boot up.

Sound's clear now, but it's still not working.
Unless I have to uninstall everything, and stop every process that isn't crucial for running the most basic functions.
