Anime adaption has been announced. If you don't know, its the prequel to Bakemonogatari.

A flyer included with NisiOisin's Nekomonogatari light novel has announced on Wednesday that production on a third NisiOisin anime project, Kizumonogatari, has been green-lit. This will be the latest NisiOisin work to be animated after Bakemonogatari and Katanagatari. The one-volume Kizumonogatari story is a prequel to the Bakemonogatari light novel series.

The flyer's copyright lists NisiOisin himself, the light novel's publisher Kodansha, the production company Aniplex, and the anime studio SHAFT.

The online retailer Amazon in Japan had listed Blu-ray and DVD editions of Kizumonogatari and Nisemonogatari â€” the prequel and sequel, respectively, to Bakemonogatari â€” in January, but those listings have since been removed.

I haven't read the novel but It should go through how Araragi became a vampire, more about Shinobu, and also Araragi's two sisters. Not sure if anything else. Lets hope the anime adaption goes through all of it too.

Will watch, but not sure if it will be an OVA or a full anime. If it was an OVA, Shaft would have more time to produce it, unlike what happened with Bakemonogatari. However, since I haven't read the novel, I won't know how much it will actually cover in Araragi's past, when he became a vampire. We saw some glimpses of it in the beginning of Bakemonogatari. Anyways, since it will show Shinobu in her older self, Aya Hirano will be back and we'll hear her Shinobu voice.

Always wondering if they ever had her talk. Lulz. I guess they need someone to do the breathing sfx. Lol. Getting payed to breath sounds nice.

That reminded me of a manga I was reading, Koe de Oshigoto, which had a girl doing eroge VA work for a Visual Novel. Actually, I heard Aya Hirano was going to do some eroge VA too? Imagine that, people will start producing more Haruhi hentai and use Aya's eroge voice. That would be lol.

But you could hear Shinobu's voice in a drama CD for Bakemonogatari. And I'm not sure if she was breathing in the anime, but that could also be it.

pretty sure Aya Hirano did some miscellaneous sounds for Shinobu. also more Bakemonogatari is always good. can't wait. hope they animate the other light novels. like the one about araragi's sisters and the one that goes more into Senjogahara.
