Now, I know I'm older and younger than a lot of you, but I'm sure we've all played some of the same games when we were younger. Remember things like Sonic and the old school Virtual Fighter games for like, Sega? Weren't those just the best? I remember wondering when I was a kid how the hell they fit all of that content into a cartridge that small. Recently I bought a big Sonic compilation for PS2 so I could play it, and it brought back so many memories. I can remember playing individual levels and games as a kid, and it was nice to reconnect with my younger self again.
What made me think of this was seeing an old Barbie game for Sega at Half-Price books today. I remember having it when I was a kid, because I used to play it all the time with my little sister. I can remember specific things in the game, which amazes me because I was so young.
I dunno, its just so cool, the things that actually stick with you. What are some old games that you played as a kid that you just loved?

I grew up with Sonic on the Sega Genesis when I was in Hong Kong. Love the platformers, don't really like the 3D games, but Sonic Heroes was okay. Also grew up with Pokemon and Yugioh, but those were when I moved to America and they were the "big thing" at the time. Oh right, Zelda and Mario too.

Pokemon Gold - Oh that was fun, had a Lv. 100 Meganium and a Lv. 100 Slowbro.
Super Mario Bros. Deluxe - Never could beat it since I was in Kindergarden or so back then.

Pokemon Yellow was my first game when I was 5. I still play the thing, and start new games when I'm bored.
Metroid Fusion and Megaman Battle Network 2 and 3 when I was in late elementary/early middle school. My god, that was my childhood right there... Battle Network 3 was probably one of the best handheld games I've ever played.

I grew up on Pokemon and Megaman Battle Network. I played Battle Network till the end, even though Battle Network 4 was where it began to start sucking. I'm still playing Pokemon and continued on to Starforce even though there's only three freaking panels to move on, which takes most the fun out of it.

When I was younger I played a ton of Tony Hawk games with my pal. Good times. Oh, and Earthbound. That game is amazing.

Started on Pokemon Red on the Gameboy Pocket. I remember playing a lot of Soul Edge and watching my cousin play FF7 at her house.

Spyros 1, 2, and 3. Back when Insomniac made them.
Pokemon Yellow was my first handheld game, and I still have it in somewhat decent condition. :D
And I have saved the best for last... Hamtaro Ham-Hams Unite on the GBC. That game was freaking amazing man. I still play the ROM every now and again because I don't have the cartrige anymore. ;(
