So, my friends birthday is coming up next month and she played Vindi with me. Her and I both love the Giant Polar Bear, and she also loves Panda's (Hence her name Panchan) so I was wondering if there was any way at all to edit some pictures of the Giant Polar Bear to make it look like a Panda. . .but with all of the Tyrant's trademarks, like the scarred eye, glowing savage eye and what not. Pictures like these for example:

No, not like that. What I was trying to say was. . pretty much if they ever released a re-skin of the White Tyrant, like with L4D/2, where the Tank has a re-skin, but otherwise is the exact same. Just pretty much make him look like a Panda, but have the features that still make him the Giant Polar Bear.

It doesn't make much sense to do something like that; the tyrant is a (not very cute) boss that you KILL, "reskinning" wouldn't really be much better than just having a picture of a giant panda taking a spear in the eye, and if your friend likes pandas, I don't really think she would like to see a panda being hunted down with spears. You should just get a panda plushie or something.

It's not very productive to tell him that his gift isn't thoughtful, especially when you don't know what the recipient likes.
@OP, if you have an image editing software, you can try making a selection on all the parts you want to turn black, and make a new layer of those parts, then turn the hues on that layer way down. It would probably be the easiest way to do it, if you don't want to spend an hour or two making it really clean, so you could mass produce a bunch of the pictures for her.

@Bolded. I don't see your point to be honest. All of my friends, we love that Giant Polar Bear because. . .it's a giant freakin Polar Bear. We call it Fluffy and just enjoy seeing it and fighting it. The pictures that I posted are the exact ones that I'm going to use, I should've mentioned that. I know better than to get a picture of the bear being dead/dying or having his eye speared out.

So, something like Photoshop I take it? I don't have it on my laptop, but it's available on the computers at my college.

I think Photoshop is your best bet, also.
Lasso Tool works very well for this kind of stuff when you're wanting to do only one area or certain areas. There's also a lot blurs depending on what version you have, which may help with the middle picture.

As I recall, we have CS5 here, and in my IDT class, we recently went over using Photoshop; I made a Banner using it, which I felt was decent. Photoshop it is then.

If you do use photoshop, then you have access to the feather tool, which you can use to smooth the transition of the fur color so it's not as jarring.

I'm confused here. So, I made some layers for different parts of The Red Tyrant and when I turned the hue down on his left arm, it looked like this:
I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong here :chomp2:. I did earlier use the brush and went over the arm with black, but it just looked like I. . .just painted over it with black, it looks out of place I guess is the word I want to use. Help? :<.

Well im not sure what you were trying to do, but the hue is to change the color. If you were going for black I'd lower the saturation. Also, you can try setting the layers you painted to multiply and lowering the opacity of it comes out too dark

I don't have Photoshop on my Laptop, so that'll have to wait for tomorrow, but thank you Otto. I was trying to make the Red Tyrant look like a Panda, while still keeping every other feature that makes him the Tyrant, such as the blood on his fur, the red glowing eye, the scars on his eyes, etc.

Dude, that was rude as fuck.
he means making some parts black to make it a panda instead of a polar bear.
Image editing.

All right so, I'll probably have more questions about this so I'll keep this thread updated. I worked on it some more and I did this:
I used the brush tool to paint the areas black, then I used Filter>Noise and made the Noise 15. After that, I went back to Filter>Blur>Motion Blur and made the angle 90 and the pixel or whatever the other part was called 15. Is this the best I can do to make it look like a Panda?
