The removed it so they could add an apple+scaled hand statue? That's ... odd.

Well, the serpent is
Ouroboros, the serpent consuming itself.
And it happens that the G11 boss is "Uroboros", so there's most likely a connection. Dunno about the apple.

I thought of Ouroboros, (and you're very likely to be correct), but I can really see fingers lines on it's 'head'.

You are 100% correct they even use 1 of those pictures on wiki except its a apple in the circle when you talk to a NPC

The apple is kind of a symbol for Avon. It's part of the G13 quest and you gotta go over to it and punch it like those in Iria. Oh yea the mainstream was slightly extended and changed. (Aeira isn't important anymore =P Alwell, she did the first few Gs)

The apple seems to refer to the G11 mission "the golden apple".
And that apple is somewhat made off from essence of fomors.

Ya G11S2 which actually might be this patch.
Notice in NA how the dunbarton and Dugald Aisle maps no longer show dungeon or area MGs (cept dun MG)
Cause the maps got updated when G9 came out. They got updated with G11/G12 KR Maps.
All dungeon MGs all non town area MGs (Dugald, Sen Mag and possibly Port of Ceann) get removed.

That's actually better since most dungeons are near towns anyway, and this will probably speed up the MG cycle too :D

Awww.. I'll miss you silly moon gate. :<

I'm used to the new moongate cycle. It's a lot faster.
Just that you need to run a bit to places like Peaca now. I wish they kept moongates near the housing areas.

Lol, that's pretty idiotic...
In any case, they're probably gonna make money outta this cause more people would be buying mounts now
Surprise surprise

I think it's a good thing. Like Shirayuki said, all dungeons are close to towns, and it will speed up the cycle.
They pretty much had to do this, with the new moon gates since the start of mabinogi, the cycle was getting too long.
