Critque wanted ( brutality desired)

Nice furry. Something looks awkward about his left arm; the sleeve is kinda weird since it leaves a large portion of the shoulder uncovered, and could be a bit tighter and more defined at the elbow (that'd make it look less awkward).
he's also got some gigantic hair on the back of his head, which is... just gigantic compared to how much hair he has on the other side lol (and also compared to his head size). Unless you really like it, maybe consider decreasing the width of the hair? Also, because of the gigantic hair, it seems that the lower part of his ears are extending from an area where there's mostly hair and a large distance between where you would expect the head to be.
And back to the left shoulder: it seems really undefined on what's actually there. It could be blood from a wound there, or some scrap of cloth that's part of his outfit going into his sleeve. You could define it better with some shading.
Also, his right shoulder looks like it has a lot more muscle than it should, compared to his right arm (and left shoulder). There's a noticeable bulge.

Just wanted to know if he was young, because if he is he's pretty good already, plenty of time to improve further.

Make the guy more macho, he doesn't look like he could beat a bear. Also give him an insane looking overly wide grin and some fangs, so he looks like he can actually fight, and pimp out those swords! Give 'em some serrations that'll rip flesh on the way out when you stab someone, not just some crappy metal sticks sharp on one end. Then toss blood everywhere to make him look like a boss.
Maybe draw him licking some blood off his face too, you can never go wrong with that.

What they meant was that they wanted harsh critique so that they learn to draw better, not ideas on how to make the character more brutal.

Anyway, back to the drawing. It reminds me quite vividly of Inuyasha, so let's go along those lines.

The tips of the hair and bangs: I can't tell whether you want it to be shine or fur tips, like on a fox. In any case, the hair needs shading. It's not a particularly good idea to leave hair blank unless they're blonde, because hair doesn't naturally appear like that. Even if they're blonde, you can still see individual strands. The ears look like they're made of hair, which is kind of impossible.

Tips for hair: Hair normally follows gravity, even if they're anime-style, and only comes from a few points on the head (hair partings, bangs come from the hairline). I heavily suggest drawing a guide in pencil with a light hand. It doesn't have to have full volume; you can guide the hair with just a few simple lines. Shade the hair with long sweeping lines (they don't need to cover all of the hair, just give it more volume). As for the ears, just shape the hair around it instead of making them appear as part of his hair.

Face: Not too bad. Stereotypical anime facial features (I prefer developing a different style that's cartoon-esque but still belongs to "you") but that can be overlooked until you get better. His face is a little lopsided, but is in proportion. Overall head seems too large for the body.

Tips for face: Again, use a guide. Remember to ALWAYS USE A GUIDE WHEN IT'S NOT DOODLES. Nobody is ever good enough to outright draw a face in perfect proportion unless they have a lot of practice at it. Of course, I can't explain how you can learn proportions as it's really just a practice thing. Use references (it's not cheating unless you trace) and read a lot of anatomy guides. Best I can do is say draw an oval > eyes are halfway down the oval > nose is halfway between the eyes and chin > mouth is halfway between nose and chin.

Body: Alright, but can be much better. From what I can see, he's a bit lopsided and his head's too big for his body. The sleeve over his left arm is not well defined, so I can't tell if it's supposed to be ripped or he's bleeding or any of that. Too much muscle on the right arm. It looks like he worked out that arm too much and ignored the other (professional arm wrestler?).

Tips for body: Same as face. Make a line guide. Use references. A specific note would be to try out their pose in real life to see if it's actually possible or looks okay. If it's not, change the guide. It's easier to edit a stick figure than to edit a completed drawing. Define the clothes with shading, as it's impossible for clothes to exist without casting a little shadow via wrinkles and folds.

Finally, overall tips:
-Get a scanner, or if that's already scanned, a better scanner. Most of your picture was wiped out by a weird dark shadow.
-Shade. Always shade. Draw a faint circle and pretend that's your light source, then shade from there. I can't give you any more details than that, but yeah.
-Background. In this case, you don't need a background since the character took up most of the page, but if you ever draw something that doesn't take up most of the page, give it a background.
-References are not cheating. You'll always need them, so it's alright to use them. More references, the better.

@gambleflash: I agree with some major points of your critique, but I feel like if they don't color their work (for now), then worrying about shading and backgrounds, as well as creating their own style can take them backwards instead of forward. Working on the basics before all that seems like the best method.

This is a great picture! It does give me an Inuyasha feel, though not for the obvious ears and weapons business, haha. It's the eyes to me, but let me stop before I ramble.

Alright, lets start with the most glaring thing: the body.
I like the pose but as was mentioned before, the head is too big for it. So you would either have to make the head smaller, or the body larger to accommodate for it.
As for the pose itself, it could mostly be fixed by making the area between the shoulders and the base of the neck wider. Then just working with the arms from there.

An amazing tool I've been using lately to help myself with poses is this

It's a 3D rendering program called Daz 3D, and their free version is magnificent. You download the program and a free model and basically start posing! You can move the model's body in any way, and if you want you can add a light source and view it from any angle.

Anatomy is hard and frustrating, but it just takes patience and practice.

The head:
I really have no complaints about the head. The facial features are in correct proportion to each other. The only thing that irks me is the expression. He seems very apathetic. Even if it's intentional,
there are ways of showing more depth with stoic expressions.

His hair is fine to me, personally. But more detail is always okay! And adding more detail to hair can really bring something to life. And as long as you can visualize the way hair falls from the top of the head, it's easy. As well as separating the "bangs area" from the rest of the hair.

His ears seem to rest at the very top of his head.. almost on top of his hair. I always draw the full head first, before i do hair and other things, so i know exactly where to place them.

I hope you don't mind (i can remove it if you do), but I did a quick sketch-up of how the general torso shape should look, as well as where the ears should go:

The last thing i'll talk about are his clothes:
Unfortunately I don't know any fancy programs to help with cloth rendering. It's just a matter of finding good references of clothing, and being able to visualize how it falls on the body. Im just now starting to understand cloth lol

All in all, I think it's a great picture, and there really isn't too much to work on c:

I wish I was as good as you lol, but a small thing I found that improved the quality of my drawings was to vary the weight/thickness of lines. You'll notice manga artists thin out their lines either approaching or diverging from a point like chin or hairtip

Well you're really supposed to thicken you lines where an area shadows another.
Example: where hair strands connect, the area where the head meets the neck, folds, etc.
