What's with Americans pulling way too short films of novels already successfuly put into quadrologies overseas? And why only one film? Does the American audience have ADHD? First Voyna i Mir, now this. Probably many others too.
Terrible cheesy trailer btw.

I watched "Les Miserables" in its anime variation: "Shoujo Cosette".
Got an A for ALL Les Miserables Quizzes/Exams in High School.
And you thought Anime helped nothing.

That book was nearly as long as Vanity Fair. Fk high school English. Oh well, at least I'll have more miserable people to watch.

I wondered why it was so Musical-ish. Turns out it's a film adaption of the musical adaption.

I think Disney should make a Miserable-French-People musical.

Shoujo Cosette led me to read the novel, both of which, I thoroughly enjoyed.
Anyway, this looks amazing. I can not wait to see this.

I watched the movie on Friday. I really enjoyed it. It was even better than I anticipated.
I've seen a lot of complaints about Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe's singing and the fact they used a live recording over a studio recording.
I thought that Hugh Jackman did a fantastic job. He's done musicals before, and it showed in his performance. Russell Crow, however, is not the best singer, but I think he managed to pull it off, although his voice took some getting used to. I think people are just complaining, because their interpretations of Jean Valjean and Javert are very different from previous musicals.
I've already bought the soundtrack and love it. I wish it had "Lovely Ladies," though.
One thing that boggled my mind is that the innkeeper is played by Sacha Baron Cohen. I didn't even realize that until I saw him credited in the soundtrack.

A lot of people told me it made them cry.
But I heard it was SO GOOD qq... I want to see it.

In the newspaper we got today it had the best and worst movies of 2012. Les Mis was on the worst and I was surprised.
