He obtained an Elite Pass from his Partner that he didn't like, or supposedly hates.
However, doing so would plummet his Partner's Favor/Disposition down, which would be very bad for he himself.

I lie to my partners all the time. Or at least until I get all 4 to max disposition then I'll start telling them straight. Except for my Maid Sakuya. She'd knife me if I did that.
