Well, my computer is pretty decent.
I'm running on a;
AMD Phenom X4 9950 Black Edition (OC @ 4.0 ghz)
XFX GTX 275 XXX OC (Geforce gtx 275)
8 GB Ram
I'm running on Windows 8 now, with a small hope that this would fix the issue, and not just bring it along from Win 7.. but it's still there, a huge FPS issue.
I work in the ICT, so I've checked the obvious things, drivers blablabla.
However there is no logical explanation for the lag in Mabi, it doesn't suck up much ram, cpu, or gpu usage.
So I was hoping on the possibility that someone here knows about this, and has some tips on fixing it.

Try lowering some graphics settings. It doesn't make much sense but then again, you'll have to try everything. One particularly egregious culprit I've read about is the quest info; try checking the "Hide quest info" box.
AFAIK I've also been having strange FPS drops since the implementation of G17S2.

Yeah I've disabled shadows to see if it helped, but it didn't.
I didn't know that option was there, so I'll put it off.
Pretty sure it'll help a bit

Fixed the lag by using Dalbees interface mod and full screen

That doesn't mean it's okay for you to do it

If you or anyone else still has FPS issues, I would recommend hiding your quest info in Options > Game > Etc.
My FPS increased by about 20 after doing that.

Mabinogi has always been this laggy IMO it's probably the Pleione Engine it's old it's very unorganized and same thing with file and server hosting, you will almost always lag in mabi in 1 place or another, there are some ways to reduce it though specially in places like a red dragon fight etc, I'm not sure what they're called anymore but I'm sure some people know what i'm talking about (People-> hoods) reducing distance to render people etc

A lot of FPS issues are also caused by the quest icons on your map. Trust me. Disable them, and you'll probably notice an improvement as well.
