Rule Modification Suggestion

  Why does Nexon have an issue with mods anyway. I can see mods that make the game unfair, such as faster leveling. But graphics mods should be allowed, considering they cant even make Mabi or MS a decent resolution.

  Kr Nexon is fine with sound and visual mods but NA Nexon is just really uptight about it (at least in their ToS, ingame GMs won't actually care).
  
  It's kind of funny considering just how easily the game can be modded to such a large extent as well. If you spent enough time on texture/animation/3D wireframe mods, you could literally make this game look nothing like Mabinogi.

  At it's most basic though, you can acknowledge that mods exist, but you can't discuss where to get them, how to get them, or how to fix them. If you need to troubleshoot a mod, you go to where you got it from, wherever that may be. This isn't that kind of site. We keep to Nexon's ToS. It's also the reason users can't sell NX here.

  Note it says: you may not request information about exploits. Not mods. On top of that, let's say we assume that the additional information clause applies to both mods and exploits: now it means: you can't post mod names, how to create mods, or how to use them.
  
  That still means you can discuss what mods do, why they behave specific ways which means that in Kueh's example:

  "The reason why lagging is [increased/decreased] after modding is because the mod works like this..."

  is actually a perfectly legal thing to discuss, because it does not involve names, creation or usage.
  
  I think that most people will and do understand the spirit of the rule - but I still agree that it's ambiguous.
