Takes SO LONG FOR IT TO LOAD X_X This is really putting me off playing -_-
Edit: d/c a 2nd bloody time, within not even 15 minutes of playing. I'm disconnecting MORE on PS2, than I EVER did on Mabi. Worse than "You have disconnected from EA" on BF3. Wouldn't be as bad if the load times weren't so horrendous D:
I don't have your problems, so check to see if restarting your computer helps with the loading.
I have no knowledge on your d/cs, considering there's an Australia server.

Ha, this.
Well I'm downloading it. I doubt it can replace APB for me but it looks decent! And it's an FPS rather than a TPS, so strategically it won't function the same at all. I just really hope it's based a lot on individual skill rather than team skill, as team games are quite boring to me. I also hope it has matchmaking because I don't particularly enjoy going against beginners when I have hundreds of hours of experience in the game itself, and some form of "fairness" to the teams is a necessity to me in prolonging its longevity. I don't mind going against tough teams while starting, though. I actually hope it has skill rankings, too, because I find that really fun. If the second video is an indication of the average time to kill, that is also positive. Don't enjoy one shot headshot games so much.
Individual skill does matter (if me and 3-4 other guys being steamrolled by a Heavy Assault enemy was any indication), and it's a tactic for a small group of players to camp around to cap a base against a larger, respawning force. Vehicles are much more dangerous here than in a game like Battlefield, so you can kill a lot before going down. There's also points given for your personal killstreaks, if that's any indication.
However, it's fairly easy for people to do zerg vs. zerg, so expect that with victories by who has a larger force. In fact, the game tries to discourage "lone wolfing" (which is fairly common if you're a Light Assault) by placing you in a squad right after you create your character. But it's possible to play by yourself and do reasonably well for your side in a small area.
It doesn't have matchmaking or team balancing (probably because it'd be a nightmare to do so with so many players per side), other than the lowest populated side getting a percentage boost to rewards. There's no skill rankings or leaderboard.
The only time I've seen a "one shot headshot" is with sniping. You can still be dropped within a second if you're being shot in the head though.
