However, it's only available in Canada.
Quote from Nintendo:
Wii Mini is available exclusively in Canada during the holiday season. No information is available about its potential availability in other territories in the future.
It won't have Gamecube compability or online connectivity.
Quote from Nintendo:
Wii Mini is designed exclusively to play Wii games. Its family-friendly design has no Internet capabilities and does not play Nintendo GameCube games.
Retail price is $99.99.

Well that's rather odd and quirky.
Only use it has is to play well...wii games that don't have online functionality.
Nintendo hasn't done this before. Well Canadians, go get it!
In all honesty, it could be a little cheaper >.>

What's the point in this?
Why does it exist if the Wii already exists and does more?

this thing is so freaking garbage.
Nintento is just going down the line.
Make me remember when i bough the black Wii and found out there no gamecube controler port,
i took off the cover just to see they included the slots for the ports, but a big piece of the console was missing.
I called the shop where i bough it and the support told me the new versions don't have gc support...
Why the f**k not?? What's so hard about including it?
Pissing off scammers.
They can put this new Wii U where I think it should go..;.

As much as I love Nintendo they just need to stick to portable gaming systems.

I agree with this some of them are practically flash games.

For something that only plays wii games, I don't think it's that bad.
I wish Nintendo would step away from making innovative stuff and go back to making things that will be considered "classics" in a decade, meaning that they go back to working on normal games instead of experimenting with everything.

Fixed. Chaos Rings counts I guess. Everything else Square Enix is just way too expensive for an iOS/Smartphone title.

There's GBA/N64/SNES emulators. There's mainly a few gems here and there, but the majority of apps are simply knock-offs of original hit titles. owo

Pretty much this. They'd be better off porting their old games to Android.
We also have the best comedy game ever made. (In my opinion) Available on Android.

As to why android, it's already in the hands of 75% of smartphone users, which in total means that ~40% of all people with cellphones have an Android powered device, and more than a solid third of all cellphone users worldwide are on Android 2.3 or higher. There are one million new activations of Android devices daily. They can hit a much wider audience to sell their games through this format than anything else, especially seeing how Android is eating up pretty much all the competition save for iOS which has held a steady 15-20% market share in smartphones without really budging. Plus, Android supports 3rd party controllers, meaning that it can easily hold it's own as a console overall. As such, Nintendo / Sony would be best off distributing games via Android market, in my opinion at least.
